SalonLinks® Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy is meant to help you understand what information we collect, why we collect it, and how you can update, manage, and delete your information.  We may update or change this Privacy Policy without notice. All such changes will take effect once they have been published in the SalonLinks® App.
 

SalonLinks® is an app that connects salon owners to salon professionals in a job-posting job-search manner.
 

What personal data do we collect from people who use the SalonLinks® App?

SalonLinks® will collect your first and last name, email address, (list anything else) to set-up a free user account – required to use our App.  We may also collect other information about you in order to enhance your user experience or for you to utilize other functionality provided by the SalonLinks® App.  Depending on which services you wish to use, this may include your IP address, geographic location,  and wireless carrier.
 

Initial user set-up is free, but SalonLinks® includes paid services. All payment information is collected and processed by Stripe.  Your first and last name, address, email address, payment card or bank account information provided directly to Stripe will be subject to their terms of use and privacy policy, which you would have accepted prior to providing any of your information.   
 

How and when do we collect personal data? 

In order to use the SalonLinks App, you must register a user account with us, and we collect information from you at the time you register.  You may be asked for additional information if you decide to use functionalities that are aimed at a more customized user experience.  If you use any of our paid services, you will be re-directed to our third-party payment processor and you will provide payment information to them directly.  We do not collect any user payment information.

In addition, we will aggregate and/or anonymize personal data of users for the purpose of researching market trends, analyzing usage of the SalonLinks App and troubleshooting, direct and indirect marketing and advertising, and development of new services and tools to enhance the user experience.  
 

How long will we retain your personal data?

We will keep your personal data only while you are a registered user.  Once you deactivate your user account, we will delete your personal information from our system, including payment card or bank account information you may have provided to use any of our paid services through the App.  This does not include payment information and you must contact Stripe to delete any personal information they may store or retain.  
 

Non-Personal Data

We also collect data in a form that does not, on its own, permit direct association with any specific individual. We may collect, use, transfer, and disclose non-personal data for any purpose. The following are some examples of non-personal data that we collect and how we may use it:

 

• We may collect information such as occupation, language, zip code, area code, unique device identifier, referrer URL, location, and the time zone so that we can better understand user behavior and improve our products, services, and advertising.

• We may collect information regarding user activities on our website or SalonLinks® App.  This information is aggregated and used to help us provide a better user experience.  Aggregated data is considered non‑personal data for the purposes of this Privacy Policy.

• We may collect and store details of how you use SalonLinks®, including search queries. This information may be used to improve the relevancy of results provided by SalonLinks®. 
   

Disclosure to Third Parties

At times SalonLinks® may provide third parties with certain personal data to provide or improve our products and services, including to deliver products at your request, or to market to other consumers. When we do, we require those third parties to handle it in accordance with relevant laws. SalonLinks® does not sell personal data, and personal data will never be shared with third parties for their marketing purposes.
 

What are your rights in your personal data? 

A registered user can ensure contact information and preferences are accurate, complete, and up to date by accessing and updating their user profile in the SalonLinks® App.  For other personal data we hold, we will provide you with access for any purpose including to request that we correct the data if it is inaccurate or delete the data if SalonLinks® is not required to retain it by law or for legitimate business purposes.
 

We may decline to process requests that are frivolous/vexatious, jeopardize the privacy of others, are extremely impractical, or for which access is not otherwise required by local law. We may also decline aspects of deletion or access requests if we believe doing so would violate any law.

You may withdraw your consent to SalonLinks® using your personal data anytime by deactivating your user account.
